Pro Deo Et Patria- An Army Chaplain

I am a chaplain in the US Army, serving in Iraq. I'm keeping a blog to share my thoughts and experiences while deployed. They are my thoughts and they don't necessarily reflect the opinions of the US Army! :)

Global War on Terror Article

Here's a funny article, written by a Major, posted on military.com, speaking about how the Global War Terror is defined and what his award should be called.

Disclaimer: the guy makes conservative political remarks, so, if you don't like them, don't read the article. You are fore-warned. :) Here is the link: http://www.military.com/opinion/0,15202,131739,00.html

Chris,

This post is not so much a response to the post on global terrorism (although that link was a good one) as it is a question you might have an answer to. What defines a holy city?
Often in news reports whatever place they're talking about is referred to as the holy city of...
What does that mean?

As always, thank you and our troops for what you're doing!

God Bless,
Kate Person
